This Photography Competition invites all Timorese people to celebrate the beauty, biodiversity, and cultural heritage of our country’s first national park. By encouraging the community to capture forests, wildlife, and landscapes through their own lens, we aim to deepen public appreciation for the park’s ecological importance and inspire stronger stewardship for its protection.

This competition is part of a broader conservation promotion effort—showcasing real, local perspectives while raising awareness of the need to safeguard our forests, wildlife, and cultural sites for future generations.

Sub-Tema Daruak : Wildlife of Nino Konis Santana National Park – Balada Fuik husi Parque Nasionál Nino Konis Santana (Balada Fuik  ne’ebé hetan  ka enkontra iha Párque Nasionál Nino Konis Santana . Sub-Tema  Dahitu :  Conservasaun in Action  - Asaun Konservasaun ((reflorestasaun), restaurasaun habitat, monitorizasaun biodiversidade, edukasaun ambientál, patrullamentu korpu guarda floresta, ka atividade konservasaun ne'ebé lidera husi komunidade.)

Termu no Kondisaun

1. Eligibility

Entrants must be 16 years or older and  Timor-Leste nationality .

The competition is open to professional and amateur photographers

Photos must be taken within Nino Konis Santana National Park within the last 3 years

Photos must be taken with a camera, (digital, analogue or phone - no AI generated)

A total of 200 eligible entries will be accepted

Employees, judges and members of their immediate families of MAPPF, SEF and SEAC are not eligible to enter

The entrant must be the author of the photos submitted to the contest

By participating you accept these terms and conditions

Photo that has been used to or submit to other Photography competition or submit to other institution were not allowed to submit .

1. Kriteria Partisipasaun

Partisipante tenke iha idade tinan 16 anos ba leten no rezidente iha Timor-Leste.

Kompetisaun ne'e loke ba fotógrafu profisionál no amateur sira.

Fotografia hotu-hotu tenke foti iha fatin  hanesan tuir mai ne’e:  Parque Nasionál Nino Konis Santana, balada fuik sira ne’ebe enkontra iha ai -laran parque Nasionál NKS, no Ai-hun tipu protejida sira ne’ebe inklina mos iha parque laran. Fotografia sira tenki ser,  foti iha tinan 3 ikus ne'e, no tenki foti dunik iha nasaun Timor-Leste (PNNKS), karik fotografia refere foti iha nasaun no area ne’ebe sai ona husi Timor-Leste no liu ona husi tinan tolu ba kotuk, sei la konsidera husi komissaun organizadora.

Partisipante ida bele submete fotografia ida de'it.

Hodi partisipa iha kompetisaun ne'e, partisipante konsidera katak depois submete fotográfia ba MAPPF,  Secretário  do  Estadu das Florestas (SEF) , sei sai ona copyright ba MAPPF liu husi SEF , hodi simu no konkorda ho termu no kondisaun hirak ne'e.

Fotografia ne'ebé uluk hatama ona  ka uza iha kompetisaun fotografia seluk, ka submete ona ba instituisaun seluk, la bele subemete fali iha kompetisaun ida-ne'e.

3. Copyright & Licensing

The entrant retains the full copyright ownership of submitted images

By entering, the participant grants the ministry of Agriculture and partners a non‑exclusive, royalty free, worldwide perpetual license to reproduce and exhibit the photographs for promotional and educational purposes.

Images will not be sold or licensed to third parties for commercial gain without a separate written agreement with the photographer

3. Direitu Autor no Lisensa

Direitu autor (copyright) ba fotografia kontinua sai propriedade tomak husi partisipante.

4. Judging & Prizes

All judging will be appointed by the 5 judges including  SEF & SEAC Photographic Competition Organising Committee

Entries will be judged anonymously and all decisions are final

[10] finalists will be selected and on display during [Love our Forest & Wildlife expo] at the Presidential Palace, Dili Timor Leste as part of the Dili International Marathon celebrations [4-8 August 2026]

3 winners will be chosen by a five judging panel

Judges decisions are final

Winners will be notified by email  or direct contact after the final decision

Prizes will be awarded as follows;

1st Prize = US$7000

2nd Prize = US$750

3rd Prize = US$500

4th runner up – 10th = US$100

4. Avaliasaun no Prémiu

5. Submission & Verification

Entries must be submitted via the official DIM / SEF portal, RAW files will be requested from all the participants for authenticity checks

Any entry found to breach ethical or technical requirements will be disqualified

Any entry that cannot be successfully downloaded or is otherwise deemed ineligible will be disqualified automatically without prior notice

5. Submisaun no Verifikasaun

6. Consent & Privacy

Entrants agree that submitted information may be used for competition administration and promotional communication

Consent forms must accompany any photo featuring identifiable individuals.
